Hi there!

I’m Liza (pronounced lie-zuh). 👋

I’ve been involved in the nonprofit and public sectors for more than 15 years and currently have the best job: Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at Multnomah County Library, a public library system in Portland, Oregon. I’m part of an incredible team that welcomes over 2,000 community members as volunteers each year. I spend my days creating better access to volunteer experiences, supporting library staff, connecting people with information, and digging into tech-y things like the volunteer database and digital communications. I also deliver training to volunteer-involving organizations like nonprofits, libraries, and social service agencies.

Outside of work, I can be found knitting, reading, exploring, and volunteering in my community. I’m proud to be an AmeriCorps alum and Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA).

Want to learn more about me or connect? Find me on Twitter or LinkedIn. Please note that I’m taking a  bit of a break from speaking and training in 2020 and am only doing a few things here and there.
